Economy and Consciousness - Highlights of the InnerScience Circles at the Celebrate Life Festival 2011

At the Celebrate Life Festival 2011 the economy & consciousness circle (ecc) organized four different workshops in the economy and consciousness tent. The workshops showcased different perspectives on the evolution of a new consciousness in our economic and business environments. We began with the perspective of an entire organization moving towards a more conscious leadership – and through personal coaching towards a new economic framework. An especially impressive example was the collective perception of different levels of consciousness in a sample organization through an organizational development intervention. Building on this, it became clear that the healthy development of an organization is dependent on the developmental levels of the employees and the leaders.

During the workshop on leadership, exercises demonstrated how leadership can feel and be experienced at different levels of consciousness. The workshop showed that leadership begins in each individual and that leaders are more in need of inner skills. Using systemic constellations, participants explored their own perceptions and abilities. Within the framework of individual coaching, it became very clear how in the space between the coach and the client the next steps for the client can become easily apparent.

In the final workshop Christian Felber - a guest contributor - presented a new economic system in which more than 100 businesses in Austria and Germany are now participating. The 'welfare economy' leads to an economic system in which new and forward-looking values can be focused on, which can also help make relationships throughout our society more sustainable.

With all of these activities, it was important for us to combine competences in the respective fields with our personal perceptions – theory and practice – effectively, making the combination of both aspects alive for everyone involved
