RESEARCH GROUP SCHOOL AND CONSCIOUSNESS

Who we are and what goals we pursue

This group consists of teachers who jointly dedicate themselves to explore the concept of school today and in the future. A role plays hereby the individual development of the personality as well as the integration of the system school in the cultural system and the effects of collective shadows.
The group cultivates a practice of transcendental connection, of allowing non-knowledge and inviting the collective intelligence. In the same way the mental, emotional, social and physical intelligences and skills are being used for the research work. Regular meetings, workshops and conferences support this process.

How do we envision the school of the future?

The basis of all transformations towards a school of the future is learning spaces that are free of fear. These contribute optimally to the unfolding of the individual personality and to the learning success of each person. A natural thirst for knowledge can emerge and be satisfied. The focus here is on the possibility to experience community and closeness, through which trust can develop and fear decreases.
The wish and the longing for a conscious quality of being with each other can be felt increasingly more strongly. This is about turning away from acting „against each other“ and turning towards community, about dissolution and re-organization of hierarchies, letting go of the narrow understanding of roles and obsolete patterns of behaviour. These have developed over generations and have to be reassessed. Where do they hold the systems rigid and render the organism school and the humans in there inflexible?

Which possibilities are available for a school of the future?

The school of the future is being inspired through visions and also through influences of already existing educational reforms and school systems. Obstacles that influence the implementation of these are becoming conscious and serve as basis for the research work. The daily contact with pupils, students and colleagues in the participants’ own school system offers scope for new insights that can be brought back into the research group.
Central themes are transparent communication, the promotion of our own potential and that of pupils and students as well as the development of creative strategies.

What can support teachers at the schools?

To start with, the teachers need to have experienced for themselves a space free of fear, a relationship space, which is characterized by trust and mutual appreciation. Here seemingly inappropriate feelings that have been hidden can be uncovered and they can try out how it is to allow closeness. The creative force that before was bound in the hiding is now set free again as life force.
Transparent communication serves as tool for uncovering the unconscious processes and integrating them. The consciousness in daily interactions is being raised and in terms of a sustainable system reduces the stress that has been created through unconsciously running processes.
To create this space and form a group out of a circle of colleagues the research group has experienced as a process in itself; the knowledge of what they have experienced can be passed on. Teachers who cherish the same wish for their school can be supported through coaching, information evenings and workshops.
