Economy and Consciousness
In 2009, the Academy of Inner Science in cooperation with the IMU (at Augsburg in Germany) initiated the research circle “Economy and Consciousness”.
Our vision
to contribute to the evolution of sustainable organizations and companies, which:
- nurture a healthy environment for all people involved and where everyone is enabled to live to their full potential and fully contribute to a sustainable society, as a primary value;
- serve their customers and society responsibly through their products, services and actions;
- take into account the entire range of stakeholder groups and aim for an ethical and highly developed relationship with these;
- are aware of their shared responsibility to help maintain a sustainable balance in the ecosystem;
- are actively and consciously involved in individuals’ evolution and that of society.
In order to fulfill this vision we commit to continuing to develop new models and approaches for work and business life in the third millennium which focus on the evolution of human consciousness, and to work at the leading edge of human knowledge as part of a global movement.
Our approach:
- We apply findings and developments in research on consciousness and in other related fields such as psychology, educational sciences, social sciences and neurobiology, in order to derive benefit for enterprises, economic systems, and society as a whole;
- We establish organizational and systemic competences and, in doing so, reach beyond current conventional approaches such as change management, organizational, cultural and individual development;
- We consider organizations and people as part of an evolutionary process (not as abstract or theoretical constructs which evolve over time). This process is a creative force unfolding in the present, of which people and organizations can become more aware, and may more consciously and responsibly contribute to;
- We consider the individual and organizational development of consciousness as a crucial step in the sound and healthy development of higher levels of livelihood for all people and, to this end, are committed to supporting people to release their creative and innovative potential within their organizations and companies.
Our issues and questions regarding the organizational development of consciousness and those competences involved are:
- Where can we find and leverage the highest potential of an organization and of its people?
- Where does the evolutionary impulse lead us?
- How can organizations and those involved in them become aware of blockages, contractions and non-integrated aspects of their lives, and how may these be further integrated?
- What are the most important actions for organizations and those involved in order to achieve their highest evolutionary potential?
Our areas of activity:
- We support the unfoldment of higher potential in leaders, managers, consultants and coaches;
- We provide a high level of coaching support, and assist organizations in choosing appropriate coaches;
- We assist associations, economic and political institutions in the development of appropriate economic frameworks;
- We accompany partnerships, associations, institutions and networks in the application of new thinking in – for example – their supply chains, the transfer of research, the co-development of enterprise and economic systems.
